Upcycled Patch Pocket Tee
4880 Tee with a patterned patch pocket made of fabric leftover from Takihyo NY

Paper Project collected fabric leftover from Takihyo NY for upcycling. We’ve featured the fabric as a patch pocket on our signature 4880 Crew Tee, creating beautiful tees with unique color contrasts and patterns.
Takihyo, a Japanese textile company, sells all kinds of fabrics from shirting to denim. The company was founded in 1751 as a Kimono fabric seller. Since then, renowned fashion brands around the world have sought Takihyo's quality fabrics. The company is now working toward tackling environmental issues and expanding its sustainable fabric offerings.
Paper Project came up with the idea of upcycling fabric leftover at Takihyo's fabric showroom in Midtown Manhattan. The fabric design, material and thickness made it perfect as a patch pocket.
